Key in Knob Cylinders & Padlocks

With hardened boron alloy shackles, American Lock door key compatible padlocks offer superior resistance against bolt cutters and prying, while the dual ball bearing locking mechanism resists pulling and prying. Padlocks are rekeyable, with replaceable cylinders and shackles.

  • Padlock bodies accept Lori 1539 size cylinders.
  • 24 keyway options are available, meaning most door security systems can be easily matched, including the Edge™ Key Control cylinder as well as the following OEM cylinders: Medeco® #20W20000 six-pin cylinder; Schlage® six-pin key-in-knob and Schlage® Primus® and GMS® cylinders; and Assa® #65611.

Enhanced keying option includes BumpStop® Advanced Cylinder Technology and Edge™ Key Control.

Solid Steel Padlocks

Solid steel padlocks are made of hardened steel and are chrome plated — resisting cutting, sawing and corrosion.

Solid Brass Padlocks

Solid brass padlocks are corrosion resistant and ideal for harsh environments — optional brass shackles are available for increased corrosion resistance.

BumpStop® Advanced Cylinder Technology

BumpStop® Advanced Cylinder Technology is the default cylinder in all American Lock Government security products provide resistance to Bump attacks. These specifications are based on ASTM F883-09, ASTM International testing criteria for determining a pin tumbler padlock cylinder’'s ability to effectively resist break–ins using lock bumping techniques. BumpStop® cylinders have a reverse rake tapered driver pin, high performance spring and precision tolerance chamber, available in our 4–, 5– and 6–pin products. American Lock padlocks with BumpStop® Technology resist bump attacks.
