Edge™ Key Control System — Rim, Mortise & Padlock Cylinders

You can prevent unauthorized key duplication with the exclusive Edge™ Key Control System. This system is available in the full range of American Lock commercial products, including padlocks, rim and mortise cylinders and the key-in-knob cylinder — so key control is now an affordable option for any facility.

Patented Edge™ Key Control protects your system with an exclusive key and cylinder design that includes an additional locking feature to create numerous one-of-a-kind “virtual keyways.” This means that all operating keys are guaranteed to be unique to a specific facility, and new key blanks are only available at authorized dealers. A free record-keeping service also is available for all registered Edge system end users.

Two Edge™ keyways are available: WP and WF. Both keyways come with 4– and 6–pin options.

Enhanced keying option includes BumpStop® Advanced Cylinder Technology.

Edge™ Cylinder

Two Edge door hardware cylinders available in bright brass or satin chrome finishes. The AD200 fits existing Lori® 1539 compatible locksets as well as American Lock key–in–knob padlocks and door hardware knobs and levers. The ADL200 cylinder fits deadbolts, as well as door hardware knobs, and levers.

Edge™ Rim and Mortise Cylinders

To complement most commercial door styles, Edge rim and mortise cylinders are available in three finishes: bright brass (03), satin chrome (26D) and oil rubbed, satin bronze (10B). The mortise cylinder is offered in three lengths: 1", 1-1/8" and 1-1/4". All accept six-pin keys. The rim cylinder offers fixed or lazy tailpieces.

BumpStop® Advanced Cylinder Technology

BumpStop® Advanced Cylinder Technology is the default cylinder in all American Lock Government security products provide resistance to Bump attacks. These specifications are based on ASTM F883-09, ASTM International testing criteria for determining a pin tumbler padlock cylinder’'s ability to effectively resist break–ins using lock bumping techniques. BumpStop® cylinders have a reverse rake tapered driver pin, high performance spring and precision tolerance chamber, available in our 4–, 5– and 6–pin products. American Lock padlocks with BumpStop® Technology resist bump attacks.
